Sat 18th Jan 2020 - Requirements & Associated Methods
1 Day Short Course -Requirements and Associated Methods (Glasgow)
Who the training is for:
Our Students come from a diverse background, but are aiming at careers in Business Analysis, Digital Strategy, Service Design, Product Management and similar. Some are already in these roles and are looking to strengthen and advance their skills, whilst some are re-skilling from another career.
Why this topic is relevant:
Requirements have been a core project artefact for many years, however in recent years with a focus moving towards agile methods, human centred design and lean methods, alternative methods have emerged. Rather than teaching a way to write requirements, this day asks students to critically assess and apply the most appropriate methods of requirements gathering.
This interactive and informative workshop will equip learners with a deep understanding of the role of a requirement in a project and an assessment of various ways of capturing and documenting requirements. We will explore how:
- Requirements are used throughout a project
- To define and apply methods for capturing requirements
- To assess methods for requirements documentation
- To map requirements back to scope and objectives
