Our Students come from a diverse background, but are aiming at careers in Business Analysis, Digital Strategy, Service Design, Product Management and similar. Some are already in these roles and are looking to strengthen and advance their skills, whilst some are re-skilling from another career.
Why this topic is relevant:
As businesses face increasingly uncertain futures, with the acceleration of technological advancement within their own businesses, and from their competitors, often the business case for change is hard to define in traditional revenue terms. Sometimes the story for change, is a business case for survival. Our students may be defining a product, service or change initiative from the outset. In order to understand the business case, they need to understand how to determine the financial metrics to build a business case and tell the compelling story behind it.
Objectives of this course:
This interactive and informative workshop will equip learners with practical tools to break down the numbers of an initiative and create the storytelling behind a business case – in today’s world, this is often a case for disruption.
- To determine what to investigate to capture the numbers behind an initiative
- To build a project or business case budget and forecast in numbers
- To learn how to create a story through numbers and words to gain buy-in for change
