Why this topic is relevant:
As we design products, services, transactions and brands, how can we future-proof our propositions as much as possible? How do we navigate the ever-changing business and trends landscape and make informed and educated choices for the future, and envisage the needs of future customers?
This interactive and informative workshop will cover tools and techniques to scan the horizon for signals about what might drive our future businesses.
Students will learn:
- What are future signals and how do we find them?
- How can we use user research to uncover emerging needs, drivers and motivations?
- What is a speculative design and how can we do it?
- How do we use other skills and tools to make decisions about possibilities and probabilities?
